About TallCat

History and Future TallCat Studios is a premiere Phoenix, Arizona recording studio and video production facility. We started out as a small studio inside the bedroom of a house before setting up our professional studio in Phoenix. We are musicians, we are film makers, we are students of the arts. In essence, we strive to be part of everything that involves creativity. The power of music and film inspires us and it's a dream come true for every TallCat manager and staff member to come to work every day and be a part of audio and video creation. In early 2009, TallCat Studios began the construction of TallCat Music Portals (TallCat.com). TallCat.com will be a new revolutionary online store for musicians to sell and distribute media, merchandise, concert tickets and more. We will be posting more information about TallCat.com as it gets closer to completion. The Studio Our 2,000+ square foot studio includes two audio recording control/mixing rooms, two vocal rooms, one video production room and a large live room. Tom Whiting - TallCat Co-Founder

Tom is co-founder of TallCat Studios and TallCat.com Portal for the Arts. Tom is a seasoned drummer and professional audio engineer / producer. He is also an avid video production producer / engineer.

Brad Thomas - TallCat.com Co-Founder

Teaming up with TallCat in early 2008, Brad Thomas heads up the TallCat.com Portal for the Arts project along with TallCat's marketing strategies and strategic business operations. Brad is also a seasoned songwriter.

Dana Mitchell - Audio Engineer

Dana was acquired by TallCat in mid 2009. His amazing ear for music has made him a hot commodity here at TallCat.

Jared Merges Phoenix Arizona Recording Studio Engineer

Jared Mergens - Audio Engineer / Producer

Jared started studying music when he was six years old on his first instrument, the saxophone. Through the years he learned to play and teach many other woodwind instruments, guitar, bass, and vocal training. Producing, engineering, and song-writing are his passion. Whether he's working on his own project or someone else's, he knows they're going to have one thing in common, they're going to sound great.

K. Boogie - Audio Engineer / Beat Maker

K Boogie is a TallCat original. Starting with the studio in 2006, K has produced some of the Valley's top Rap / Hip Hop artists.

David W. Torres - Freelance Producer/Engineer/Session Guitarist

An original co-founding member of TallCat Studios, David (or Rez around here) is ambitiously creative and will push the limits of a project beyond expectations. David is a Conservatory of Recording Arts and Sciences Graduate and is currently on staff at the school. www.davidwtorres.com.
